Dena Jo Squyres, like a typical 16 year-old girl, enjoys hanging out with her friends, shopping and playing softball. But Dena — a student at the Cherokee Nation’s Sequoyah High School in Oklahoma — can add entrepreneur, saver and spokeswoman to her list of after-school activities.
On February 21, 2007, CFED and NeighborWorks America co-presented Changes in the Wind -- Manufactured Housing and the Future of Affordable Housing - a one-day symposium. The symposium celebrated five years of momentum building and programmatic breakthroughs in the nonprofit approach to this critical housing sector. Advocates, policy makers, and developers spent the day sharing lessons learned, promising practices, and their visions for the future. Presentations and handouts from this exciting event may now be accessed by clicking on the names of individual speakers below.
