Customize Data

The Scorecard's data can be customized using a dynamic tool for researchers, analysts, policymakers, and practitioners. Any combination of the 84 measures and 14 trend indicators can be selected with any combination of states. Users can also select any subset of states and/or measures from the 2007 Development Report Card for the States (DRC), CFED's annual economic development benchmarking publication, together with measures from the 2007-2008 Scorecard to produce a customized data set.

To view a custom set of Scorecard's 98 measures and the DRC's 67 measures, select one or more measures and one or more states. To make multiple selections, press and hold the "CTRL" key. When finished, click the "Compare by Measures" button. Scorecard data can also be customized by issue area. The resulting file will be able to be imported into Excel.

All of the data used in the 2007-2008 Scorecard, as well as data from previous editions in 2005 and 2002, are available in downloadable Excel files:

Both previous editions of the Scorecard, released in 2005 and 2002, are available on the web.
